About the Course
This is the foundation level of BCS Professional Examinations. Certificate qualification is academically equivalent to 1st Year of a UK University Honours degree. It is recognized by the Ofqual – Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulators as Level 4. Holders of this certificate are eligible to apply for BCS Associate Membership (AMBCS).
Course Structure
The course is made up of three (3) core modules. Candidate must complete all three units to gain Certificate in IT.

Teaching and Assessment
BCS recommends a minimum of 200 hours study per module. All modules are assessed by written examinations which last for two hours.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
There are no formal academic requirements although the candidate will have finished 12 years of school education before embarking on this course and they should be able to communicate in English.
